Zeno is built on a simple principle: your emails are yours. We process your email data in real time to power our features and do not store your email content on our servers.

1. Who We Are

Zeno ("we," "us," or "our") is an AI-powered email management service operated by Zeno. You can contact us at support@myzenobox.com.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely via Supabase authentication).

Email Data (Gmail & Outlook)

When you connect your Gmail or Outlook account, we access your emails using Google and Microsoft's official OAuth2. This access is used solely to:

Display your emails within the Zeno interface
Analyze emails using AI to provide summaries, priorities, and suggested actions
Send emails on your behalf when you choose to do so

We do not store your email content on our servers. Emails are processed in memory in real time and immediately discarded. We do not use your email content to train AI models.

Usage Data

We collect basic usage data such as features used, session duration, and error logs to improve the service. This data is not linked to your email content.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.

Settings & Preferences

We store your app settings, folder structure, contact list, and preferences in our database to provide a consistent experience across sessions.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve the Zeno service
To authenticate your identity and manage your account
To process payments and manage your subscription
To send you service-related emails (account confirmation, billing receipts)
To respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Google API & Gmail Data

Zeno's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

We only request the minimum Gmail scopes necessary to operate the service
We do not share Gmail data with third parties except as necessary to operate the service
We do not use Gmail data for serving ads
We do not allow humans to read your Gmail data unless you explicitly request support and grant permission
We do not use Gmail data to train AI or ML models

5. Microsoft & Outlook Data

When you connect your Microsoft/Outlook account, we access your mail using Microsoft's official OAuth2. The same data handling principles apply — we do not store your email content and only use it to power Zeno's features within your session.

6. Data Sharing

We share your data only with the following trusted service providers, and only as necessary to operate Zeno:

Supabase — authentication and database
Stripe — payment processing
Anthropic — AI analysis of email content (processed in real time, not stored)
Vercel — hosting and infrastructure

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing purposes.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information and settings for as long as your account is active. Email content is never stored. If you delete your account, all your data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and data
Disconnect your Gmail or Outlook account at any time
Export your data

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, secure authentication via Supabase, and OAuth2 for email access. We never ask for or store your email password.

10. Children's Privacy

Zeno is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice in the app. Your continued use of Zeno after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

By using Zeno, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before using the service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Zeno ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Zeno is an AI-powered email management tool that connects to your Gmail and/or Outlook account to help you read, organize, and send emails more efficiently.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Zeno. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activity that occurs under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

5. Subscription & Billing

Zeno is a paid service. By subscribing you agree to pay the applicable fees.

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
Payments are processed securely by Stripe
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Zeno to:

Send spam or unsolicited bulk email
Violate any applicable law or regulation
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Interfere with or disrupt the Service
Use the Service for any illegal or harmful purpose

7. Email Access & Permissions

By connecting your Gmail or Outlook account, you authorize Zeno to access your email data as described in our Privacy Policy. You can revoke this access at any time by disconnecting your account in the Settings page or through your Google/Microsoft account settings.

8. Intellectual Property

Zeno and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Zeno and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your email content remains yours — we claim no ownership over it.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Zeno is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. AI-generated summaries and suggestions may not always be accurate — always review important emails yourself.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zeno shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data or missed emails.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United States.
